The Red Oaks Virtual Auction
Zara Syed had an incredible opportunity to apply her passion to contribute to The Red Oak School’s annual fund. Mrs. Clark, Chair for the Red Oaks Virtual Auction, was familiar with her customized, hand painted cards that she sold on Good Intentions. For the auction collection, she was interested in including a personalized, meaningful item created by a Red Oaks School member that the community would wholeheartedly embrace.
Mrs. Clark asked Zara Syed to paint two watercolor designs that would be printed onto silk and cashmere scarves and auctioned at the Red Oaks Virtual Auction. The designs were converted into digital images and sent to a fabric printing company in Denmark, where her art was printed onto 10 scarves. It was a true emblem of the wondrous way that art can foster community engagement.

Inspired by Zara Syed’s original watercolor card designs, The Red Oaks School Gala committee asked Zara to collaborate with them on two custom, limited edition creations made specifically for our Virtual Auction.

Zara’s color palate and delicate brush strokes offer remarkably sophisticated compositions with delicate transitions between colors that can only be created with watercolor.
